Workshop APH junior researchers
On Thursday Nov 28th the APH Mental Health Junior Council organizes a FREE WORKSHOP for young APH researchers on self-care in science.
Most of us investigate physical health and emotional wellbeing on a daily basis, but what can we do to keep ourselves happy and healthy? Many of us feel the pressure of working in academia, but is there a key to a good work-life balance?
This interactive workshop will be given by professional trainers from Hakuna Matata – Science & media, and will discuss topics like barriers for taking care of yourself, how to set boundaries, and how to expand your influence. You will get a lot of personalized tips and tricks on how to enjoy your job in academia, so it promises to be a hugely relevant afternoon. Also, there will be a “borrel” afterwards to meet your fellow APH colleagues!
- When: Thursday 28 Nov, ~13.30 – 16.30, followed by drinks.
- Where: VU/VUMC area (exact location to be determined)
- Who: PhD students, postdocs, junior faculty involved in APH
Register: We’re full! Ask Laura Nawijn if you can go on the “reservelijst” n.nawijn@amsterdamumc.nlĀ
Please spread the word amongst your APH early career colleagues. The workshop is free of charge, but available seats are limited!
Best regards,
Junior Council APH Mental Health
