IEP
Patients with obsessive compulsive disorder often experience a troubled and long-term prognosis, also after treatment with cognitive behavioural therapy. The multidisciplinary guidelines then advices intensification of the treatment, but this can be time consuming which has an effect on the patients personal life and also the treatment takes place at the clinic despite the OCD often occurs at home.
The aim of the IEP study is to test a new treatment method (IEP=Intensive Exposure Program). This treatment trajectory is shorter (one and a half weeks), it is individually based and the complaints of the OCD are treated at home. Relatives and partners are also a part of the treatment, and the focus is on the overall functioning of the patient.
