Dr. Rosa Boeschoten, PhD
Rosa Boeschoten is GZ-psychologist and postdoctoral researcher at GGZ inGeest and the department of psychiatry of Amsterdam UMC/VUmc.
Rosa Boeschoten (1983) graduated cum laude in social psychology (2007) and clinical psychology (2010) at the University of Amsterdam. During her studies she spent six months at the Psychology Department of the New York University, United States of America. She also accomplished the Mastertrack Training and Development (2008) and received a Bachelors degree in Psychonomics (Brain and Cognition) (2005). From September 2008 – February 2010 Rosa worked as a teacher at the Psychology Department of the University of Amsterdam, developing and teaching seminars for undergraduates.
Her PhD project at GGZ inGeest/VUmc was aimed at improving the quality of care for depressed MS patients. Her project focuses on the 1) prevalence of depression in established MS populations, 2) clinical symptom profile of depression in MS patients with overlapping psychiatric and neurological symptoms, and 3) feasibility and effectiveness of online delivered psychotherapy for clinically relevant depression in MS. From 2012-2015 Rosa combined her PhD research with a postdoctoral training program in order to become a licensed mental health care psychologist (GZ-psycholoog). Rosa has finished her PhD thesis in 2017 and will continue her research at the department of research and innovation, and her work as mental health psychologist at the e-Mental Health clinic of GGZ inGeest.
