Dr. Jurjen Luykx, MD PhD

Jurjen Luykx was trained as a psychiatrist at the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) and has held research positions at UCLA in Los Angeles, at UMCU and at Maastricht Medical Center. He has a research background in psychiatric genetics and a broad interest in neurobiological, clinical, environmental, and societal issues related to psychiatry. Several days of the week he works as a clinical psychiatrist, consulting patients with bipolar disorder particularly. Jurjen enjoys conducting collaborative work in teams of researchers and clinicians, focusing on clinical trials, real-world studies and applied neuropsychiatric genetics.
