The Longitudinal Aging Study Amsterdam (LASA) is a scientific study to determine predictors and consequences of aging.
LASA started in 1991 and has built up probably the largest data store on aging in the Netherlands. LASA is conducted at the department of epidemiology & biostatistics of VU Amsterdam. The Department of Psychiatry often collaborates with LASA and prof. Aartjan Beekman is member of LASA’s steering board.
