Blue Monday Run: MARIO raises €2800
On Monday January 15, better known as Blue Monday, staff and experts by experience in the MARIO project participated in the Blue Monday Run. This run is an initiative of MIND, aiming to draw more attention to mental health complaints and open up discussions about mental health. Running to fight depression, to foster mental health!
MARIO’s team of 16 participants covered more than 200 km, raising €2800 for MIND.
MARIO is a research project studying children and young adults aged 10-25 with a parent with mental health and/or addiction problems. This group of children are more likely to develop psychological disorders themselves compared to children who grow up with parents without mental health problems or addiction. Unfortunately, this group of young people often only comes into the picture when they themselves have already developed mental health disorders. Our team of colleagues in the MARIO study wants to pay more attention to these individuals.
This is a collaboration of Amsterdam UMC, Erasmus MC, LUMC, UMC Utrecht en UMC Groningen. More information can be found here: MARIO Project.
