As a mental health psychologist and senior researcher Rosa is interested in the complex interplay of psychiatric-somatic co-morbidity.
Her PhD project at GGZ inGeest/AmsterdamUMC (PhD obtained in 2017) focused on prevalence and profile of depression in multiple sclerosis patients and was aimed at improving the quality of care for depressed MS patients with an Internet-based cognitive behavior therapy. Her current research focuses on somatic symptom-disorders and functional neurological disorders, and psychological interventions to improve psychological wellbeing and resilience for patients at different hospital departments (e.g. department of surgery, gynecology).
