The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of early traumatic experiences of the mother-to-be on her mental health (anxiety depression, PTSD) during pregnancy in a prospective cohort study. In addition, we will study the effects of sleep problems (insomnia) during pregnancy on the experience of the delivery and postpartum mental health problems. Sleep is a known risk factor for depression, which has also been found in pregnant women. However, less is known about how sleep affects anxiety and PTDS in pregnant women and if sleep increases the risk for a traumatic birth experience, especially when the patient has early life traumatic experiences. Target population: 200 patients of the POP clinic (Psychiatry, Obestetrics, Peadiatrics Clinic) of OLVG and 200 control pregnant women from the general obstetric clinic.
