As a mental health psychologist and senior researcher Rosa Boeschoten is interested in the complex interplay of psychiatric-somatic co-morbidity.
Her PhD project at GGZ inGeest/Amsterdam UMC (PhD obtained in 2017) focused on prevalence and profile of depression in multiple sclerosis patients. The project was aimed at improving the quality of care for depressed MS patients with an Internet-based cognitive behaviour therapy. Her current research focuses on somatic symptom-disorders and functional neurological disorders, and psychological interventions to improve psychological wellbeing and resilience for patients at different hospital departments (e.g. department of surgery, gynecology).
