Hansje Heller studied medicine at the University of Amsterdam and finished her specialization in psychiatry in 1998 in what in these days is called is GGZ inGeest. In 1999 she finished her specialization in child psychiatry. However, she never fully worked in this field. In 2021 she obtained her PhD on the subject of affective dysregulation in pregnancy.
Her passions are hospital psychiatry and perinatal psychiatry, in both fields Hansje Heller works in patientcare and research and teaching of master students.
