Working together on mental health: academic ecosystem Psychiatry Amsterdam

‘Psychiatry Amsterdam’, as an ecosystem, is led* by the department of Psychiatry, Amsterdam UMC. Together with our partners in the region and departments within Amsterdam UMC, we will shape and develop the network over the next year. Think of academic collaborative centers, hospitals, mental health organisations, municipalities and other social partners who share a common interest: improving mental health over the entire life course of people in the North Holland and Flevoland region.

Researchers within the network work intensively together. It is precisely this network-oriented approach that strengthens the impact and relevance of the scientific research that takes place within Psychiatry Amsterdam. Because the substantive and professional connections between the researchers and (research) departments involved often cut across divisional and organisational boundaries, collaboration is essential. It is precisely this interconnectedness that makes it possible to make a real impact.
