Adrie Seldenrijk is senior researcher at the academic collaborative center for Anxiety Disorders of GGZ inGeest. In addition to her research, she is a GZ-psycholoog at Mindway, the outpatient clinic for e-health of GGZ inGeest.
In 2011, she obtained her PhD in psychiatry with a thesis on ‘Depression, anxiety and subclinical cardiovascular disease’, mainly based on the NESDA cohort. In the past years, she has kept a special interest in the psychological and pharmacological treatment of depressive and anxiety disorders.
At this moment, her main research interests lie in the optimization of anxiety treatment and of guiding the discontinuation of antidepressants. She particularly is investigating the potential of brief-intensive cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety-related disorders in the KOMMA study (Hersenstichting). Also, she is furthering the knowledge and interdisciplinary cooperation regarding discontinuation of antidepressants in the Innovation Project of the outpatient clinic for Discontinuation of GGZ inGeest (Fonds SGS Zilveren Kruis).
