In a multidisciplinary transdiagnostic network of researchers and clinicians, the aim is to improve the psychiatric care for severe treatment resistant affective disorders including major depressive disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The focus is on biological interventions, while taking the complexity of the ecological context in perspective. Examples are neuromodulation (electroconvulsive therapy and deep brain stimulation) and neurometabolism (omega-3 fatty acids), and the implementation and personalization of these interventions.
