The Mood & Resilience Lab investigates how stress and resilience are related to mood and mental health. Our central question: why do some people manage to recover from stressful experiences or mental health symptoms better than others?
We combine clinical research, innovative measurement methods (such as cortisol profiling and ecological moment testing), e-health, and epigenetics to understand the mechanisms behind vulnerability and recovery. Themes include stress sensitivity, mood, recovery, and personalized antidepressant tapering. We work interdisciplinarily and in close collaboration with patients, striving for tangible impact on clinical practice. . In addition to focusing on mechanisms behind vulnerability and recovery, we also study interventions aimed to improve cost-effectiveness of treatments for mood disorders, such as hybrid treatment formats.
The Mood & Resilience Lab is an open and collaborative initiative – not a classic PI model, but a group where collaboration, curiosity and social relevance are key.
