Led by Wouter van Ballegooijen, this project is a collaboration between VU Amsterdam, Amsterdam UMC and 113 Suicide Prevention. As part of the open science initiative Metapsy, initiated by Professor Pim Cuijpers, Metapsy Suicide Prevention is an openly accessible database containing more than 200 published studies on the effect of psychotherapy on suicidal ideation and suicide attempts. The database is updated annually and provides researchers and clinicians alike with access to the latest evidence on treatment effects through meta-analysis. Metapsy Suicide Prevention has resulted in several publications and has informed national suicide prevention guidelines.
