In 2010, it was discovered that a large number of babies and toddlers had been sexually abused by an employee of several daycare centers and babysitter. The case later became known as the Amsterdam Sexual Abuse Case (ASAC) and was the first major case involving sexual abuse of children at such a young age. This study was initiated due to the many questions about the consequences of the abuse, which, given the young age of the victims, had been scarcely researched until now. With this, the research contributes to gaining more knowledge about the care, support, and consequences for the victims.
