Chris Vriend

As a clinical neuroscientist Chris Vriend studies the pathophysiology of brain disorders and the neurobiological effects of treatment on brain structure and function. For this he uses multimodal MRI and network analyses, and focus mostly on the effects of psychological treatment or non-invasive brain stimulation on disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and Parkinson’s disease. Chris Vriend is involved as imaging expert in a number of international collaborations on obsessive-compulsive disorder and a course coordinator of advanced clinical neuroscience of the VU Master of Neuroscience and the functional neuroanatomy course of the ONWAR graduate school.
