Dr. Joëlle A. Pasman is a researcher at Amsterdam UMC department of Psychiatry and Karolinska Institute, focusing on psychiatric genetics. Her research centers on the genetic underpinnings of major depressive disorder (MDD), substance use, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Dr. Pasman is leading analyst in the current project of the International Cannabis Consortium, aiming to elucidate the genetic factors contributing to cannabis use. She also mentors three PhD students in projects exploring the genetics of MDD and substance use. Additionally, she is spearheading a research initiative into genetic sub types of OCD.
Currently, Joëlle Pasman is funded by a career bridging grant from Amsterdam UMC, supporting her ongoing research endeavors.
