I am a nurse and clinical epidemiologist. My research themes are prevention of coercive measures, coping with workplace violence and the improvement of inpatient care facilities. Besides research, I work as a nurse at the High Intensive Care unit of the Department of Psychiatry in Amsterdam UMC and I am affiliated as a teacher with the Institute of Nursing Studies of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. I aim to combine literature reviews, qualitative and quantitative methods to create research output with relevance for bot clinical practice and the scientific community.
