Roel Mocking is psychiatrist, associate professor, and medical section head at the psychiatry outpatient department of the Amsterdam UMC. He focusses on translating neuroscience to clinical practice and implementing innovations to improve care for patients with therapy resistant psychiatric disorders. After a cum laude PhD in 2017 he continued research on neuromodulation and neurometabolism in psychiatric disorders. A main focus is research on deep brain stimulation in affective disorders. He is member of the scientific committee of the national psychiatric association.
