Wouter van Ballegooijen is a researcher and assistant professor at the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Clinical, Neuro and Developmental Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit. Wouter is PI of the Metapsy Suicide Prevention and CASPAR projects, member of the core team of SUPRANET GGZ and board member of Suicide Research Netherlands (www.SURE-Net.nl).

His research focuses on the treatment and prevention of suicidal ideation, self-harm and suicide, mainly in mental health care. In recent years he has specialised in meta-science, open science and meta-analysis as part of the Metapsy group (www.metapsy.org).
