Recovering from a first psychosis is a highly individual process and requires the person to make sense of their experiences. Clinicians, in turn, need to comprehend these first-person perspectives, creating a mutual sense-making dynamic. Phenomenological analyses uncover self-disorders in schizophrenia. It is unknown how these self-disorder phenomena change during treatment with antipsychotic medication.
