ImmunoMIND is one of the five new research hubs supported by the UKRI mental health research platform, which aims to tackle key challenges in severe mental illness. ImmunoMIND is an international hub composed of scientists from five research institutions in the UK, Amsterdam UMC, and people with lived experience, working openly and transparently together. The project will seize the opportunity provided by big data and advanced computational analysis to find causal pathways that connect physical and mental health. The aim is to speed up the development of personalized treatments that target the immune and metabolic causes of severe mental illness in those patients most likely to benefit.
