Tim van Balkom is a health care psychologist and postdoctoral researcher at the department of Psychiatry and department of Anatomy & Neurosciences at Amsterdam UMC.
His current scientific work focuses on the neuropsychological and neuropsychiatric symptoms that are related to Parkinson’s disease, including heterogeneity and the functional and structural brain network changes associated with cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease and its non-pharmacological treatment.
As a psychologist, Tim works at the Neuropsychiatry outpatient clinic of the Amsterdam UMC for diagnostic assessment and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, mainly in Parkinson’s disease.
