Hilgo Bruining is the founder of the N=You neurodevelopmental precision centre at the Emma Children’s Hospital (Amsterdam UMC), in partnership with Levvel. At N=You, our systems-based approach recognises that every child’s development emerges from a dynamic interplay between biology, relationships, and the broader ecological context.

As the author of Donutpsychiatrie, Hilgo advocates for a sustainable model of child development—one that ensures children can grow within the safe and supportive boundaries of their environments. This ecological perspective informs the precision approach: integrating factors before and after birth, considering environmental capacity, and aligning care with what children need not only to cope, but to thrive.

With N=You, Hilgo Bruining strives to bridge science, environment, and clinical practice to reshape how we understand and support neurodevelopment in the real world.
